There are so many blessings which flow into our lives without our preparation. These we simply enjoy. For many others, we have to prepare for them. We prepare for visitors. We prepare for higher stations in life. We prepare for new opportunities (known and unknown). We prepare for the future (the future of time and the future of eternity).
When we prepare, it’s important that we’re consciously aware of what we’re preparing for. Otherwise, when it comes we may not recognise it. What exactly are we preparing for? Even when we don’t know exactly what we’re preparing for, we need to know why we’re preparing. It’s this that will give us the impetus to prepare well.
May Jesus Christ grant us the grace to prepare adequately for the coming of the Master.
