Record ten-time Uganda Cup winners, Express FC, will host Paidha Black Angels SC on Wednesday, March 15 in the quarterfinal match of this year’s tournament at the Muteesa II stadium, Wankulukuku.
Speaking ahead of the game, Express’ head coach James Odoch said his side is fully focused on the task at hand and they are not taking Paidha Black Angels for granted.
In comparison, Paidha features in the West Nile Regional League while Express FC is one of the topflight sides in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League.
Odoch stated: “We have trained hard ahead of the encounter and know that whatever we have worked on, we shall apply.
“The most important thing is not to take our opponents for granted and not underestimate them, because they managed to make this round, and have also been playing well in the regional league.”
To reach to the quarterfinal stage, Express eliminated Lugazi FC after a 1-0 victory in the round-of-32. Paidha Black Angels ejected Kisugu United after a boardroom decision annulled the latter’s 4-3 penalty shootout win, for using an ineligible player.
