Police FC v KCCA FC, MTN Philip Omondi Stadium-Lugogo (4:00 pm)
Arua Hill SC v Soltilo Bright Stars FC, Barifa Stadium-Arua (4:00pm)
Second-placed KCCA FC have a chance to go top of the StarTimes Uganda Premier League if they beat Police FC in their scheduled game on Tuesday, March 15 at the Phillip Omondi stadium in Lugogo.
Coach Morley Byekwaso’s side has been impressive thus far; collecting 41 points from 20 games and have kept the pressure on Vipers SC, who currently lead the table on 43 points.
In their latest match, KCCA FC were held to a goal-less draw last Saturday (March 12) at the same venue. However, speaking at a pre-match media briefing on Monday (March 14) morning, Byekwaso insisted that his side is ready to get back to winning ways. “We have prepared well for our next game (against Police) and there won’t be any excuses,” he stated.
Police, meanwhile, languish in the bottom half of the 16-team table. They have collected a miserable 22 points from 20 games, which puts them in danger of fighting relegation. The cops, however, have always been KCCA’s bogey side; so, they cannot be taken for granted in Tuesday’s game.
In the other matches set for Tuesday, army side UPDF host Wakiso Giants at Bombo Military Barracks grounds while Arua Hill will entertain Bright Stars at Barifa stadium.
