Former champions KCCA FC suffered their first defeat of the season in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League (UPL) as they lost 1-3 to Arua Hill FC on Saturday, October 8.
Isaac Ogwang, Rashid Toha and Samuel Kawawa scored the goals that handed KCCA the humiliating defeat in Arua on match-day two of the 2022/23 season.
Elsewhere, in the games played Saturday, Express FC beat URA FC 1-0 at the Mutesa I stadium, Wankulukuku, thanks to Allan Kayiwa’s first half goal.
In Jinja, Karim Ndugwa, Richard Wandyaka and Frank Kalanda were on the scoresheet for BUL FC to beat UPDFC FC 3-1.
SC Villa, the record 16-time league champions, were held to a goal-less draw by Onduparaka FC on Friday, October 7.
The UPL takes a break on Sunday, October 9 to give way for the CAF Champions League match between Vipers SC and TP Mazembe of DR Congo at the St Mary’s stadium.
