RESULT: KU 2 UMU Nkozi 1
Kampala University (KU) registered their second consecutive win after beating Uganda Martyrs University (UMU), Nkozi 2-1 on Tuesday, May 3 in the Pepsi University Football League.
The victory takes KU to the summit of Group E, with six points from three games. Nkozi lie the bottom of Group E, with a paltry three points after three games played.
Richard Tumusiime gave KU the lead in the 12th minute but Henry Tumusiime equalized for Nkozi on 47 minutes. KU, however, were awarded a penalty in the 57th minute that was converted by Said Mayanja for the winning goal.
The other teams in Group E; Gulu University, who are second and third-placed Ndejje University are scheduled to meet on Sunday, May 8.
The league takes a one-day break and resumes on Thursday, May 5 with Islamic University In Uganda (IUIU) hosting Busitema University in Mbale.
