Readings: Ex 17:8-13. 2 Tim 3:14-4:2. Lk 18:1-8
There are certain things in life that are really worth working for. Justice is one of them. Ideally, we should give to everyone what’s due to them and more. At the same time, we too ought to demand what’s due to us, and defend it once we get it. That involves fighting against all forces that prevent us from fulfilling our potentials.
There’s no guarantee that we’ll get what we want as soon as we want it. However, persistence increases the probability of getting what we work for. Persistence in prayer is an assurance of divine assistance in our lives. We increase the possibility of actually appropriating the graces that God pours so abundantly in our lives.
May Jesus Christ grant us the grace to persist, not only in prayer, but in all worthwhile endeavours.
