It seems that to live a good life, all we need is love. And this applies here and to the hereafter. All prescriptions for good living will end up pointing to love. Love can summarise religious teachings. All just laws are meant to protect society and individuals from actions opposed to love. Many problems in personal life and in society are due to a lack of love.
True self-love is what allows one to act lovingly toward oneself and others. love enables one to recognise and accept love from others. True love is the foundation of authentic obedience. To love is to aim at the highest good of the individual. And this shouldn’t be made harder by rules from the outside, like our own preferred or forced practices.
May Jesus Christ grant us the grace to love Self and others.
And may Almighty God bless you, the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
