Plascon’s announcement on July 4, followed a Friday, June 30 similar declaration from Uganda Airlines revealing a Ugx56.4m as well as airtickets sponsorship towards the team.

The Plascon sponsorship under the company’s Twaake campaign, is meant to morally prepare the She Cranes team ahead of the World Cup event.

Uganda Netball Federation UNFCEO Francis Banya lauded Plascon for standing out of the crowd to support netball-pledging that team would host the national flag high to make Ugandans proud.

Plascon’s Tuesday commitment towards netball marked the second such major partnership after last year’s support as the team prepared for the Commonwealth Games.

Coach Fred Mugerwa noted at the function the team had been fine-tuned to the required standards – owing to the fact that a number of trial games were arranged , giving the girls an opportunity to adjust, accordingly.

Besides official of Plascon and UNF, the function attracted selected number of national team players as many were away at the Lugogo House, responding to visa queries in what seem to a tight clearance for the South African trip on the side of the Ugandan government.
