Following their 1-4 loss to Manchester City last Sunday, Manchester United will be out to revive their chances of playing in the Champions League next season by beating Tottenham Spurs in the English Premier League.
The Red Devils, who are in tight competition for the top-four slot with Arsenal and West Ham, host Spurs on Saturday, March 12 in one of the day’s highlights. It will be a late kick-off (8:30pm in Uganda)
And all eyes will be on Old Trafford, with Arsenal (versus Leicester) set for the following day, March 13.
According to several media reports, Man United’s camp is in disarray following the loss to their city rivals last weekend. Top players, including Cristiano Ronaldo, have accused their manager Ralf Rangnick of poor tactics but their ability to beat Spurs cannot be underestimated.
Antonio Conte’s Spurs, meanwhile, are coming off an impressive 5-0 victory over Leeds earlier this week. They have 45 points from 26 games and are seventh compared to Man United’s 47 points from 28 matches.
In the early kick-off match (3:30pm in Uganda), second-placed Liverpool FC are widely-tipped to win at struggling Brighton to keep the pressure on leaders Man City. Brighton are suffering their worst run of form of the season; having lost four consecutive games in the recent past. Liverpool, on the other side, are enjoying a good run despite slipping (0-1) to Inter Milan in the mid-week Champions League fixture.
