Express FC caretaker manager James Odoch has pumped up the volume by claiming his side must get maximum points from their scheduled StarTimes Uganda Premier League match against KCCA FC.
The two archrivals are set to meet in a highly-billed Kampala derby on Thursday, March 3 at the Mutesa II stadium in Wankulukuku.
“In the last few days, we have corrected our mistakes from the draw we had in Jinja (with Busoga United) so the boys will be out to win our next game against KCCA FC. I know KCCA FC is a good side with good players and coaches but the boys are not ready to lose to them at home,” Odoch said during a pre-match media conference on Wednesday, March 2.
On the opposite side, KCCA FC coach Morley Byekwaso said his team will take a ‘cautious approach to avoid defeat’ to their bitter rivals.
Going into the game, KCCA FC are second on the 16-team table, with 39 points from 18 games. They are just one point behind leaders, Vipers SC. Express FC lie fifth, with 29 points from 18 games.
In the other games scheduled for Thursday, former champions SC Villa and URA FC will be up against Busoga United and Mbarara City FC respectively.
