Tuesday, February 15@4pm:
Wakiso Giants FC v URA FC, Kabaka Kyabaggu Sports stadium
Bright Stars v Police FC, Kavumba Recreation Ground
Former champions URA FC and Police FC play their 18th match in this season’s StarTimes Uganda Premier League on Tuesday, February 15, with contrasting fortunes on the table for either side.
URA, who will be out against Wakiso Giants FC at the Kabaka Kyabaggu stadium, seek to close the gap on run-away leaders Vipers (39points) and KCCA FC (36 points).
Currently, URA have 31 points from 17 games and could reduce the gap to five points on the leaders if they beat Wakiso Giants.
On the other hand, Police have a tough task at hand against Bright Stars. Both teams lie in the bottom half of the 15-team table, and are desperate to escape the relegation dogfight.
Despite boasting of an enviably talented squad, Police have struggled to win games this season. They have just four wins in 17 matches, with a paltry 17 points, placing them tenth on the log.
Bright Stars are already in the drop zone; 14th with 15 points from 17 games, but victory over Police can thrust them out of relegation to nineth position.
