KAMPALA: KCCA FC coach Morley Byekwaso is optimistic his boys will end their losing jinx to URA FC when the two StarTimes Uganda Premier League (SUPL) giants meet Wednesday, February 9 at Phillip Omondi stadium in Lugogo.
In their last five league meetings, KCCA FC have lost four times to URA FC and drawn once. With the last loss (0-1 at the Arena of Visions Ndejje last month as the league’s first round drew to a close) still fresh on his mind, Byekwaso has rallied the Kasasiro Boys to break the URA jinx.
“I expect some special performance from my boys in that game and we are going all out to win it,” Byekwaso stated during a pre-match media conference on Tuesday afternoon.
KCCA’s recent recruit Patrick Kaddu, the seasoned striker who returned to the club in the January transfer window, could make the difference.
Going into the game, KCCA are on 32 points while URA have 28 points from 15 games apiece.
Meanwhile, the game between Onduparaka FC and Busoga United FC has been brought to
Saturday, February 12, 2022. This is after the league secretariat noticed there was a clash of events at the venue (Ababet Green Light stadium in Arua) on the earlier scheduled date of Sunday, February 13, 2022.
