KAMPALA: It is a highly anticipated clash that pits defending champions Express FC against table leaders KCCA FC, so will Wednesday (December 22)’s game at Lugogo live up to the billing?
Going by their current form, both teams have exhibited the potential to serve up a delicious menu of football action that probably their fans deserve before the Christmas break.
But KCCA have the edge, given their unbeaten record in 11 matches thus far. Coach Morley Byekwaso’s side leads the table standings with eight points better than fifth-placed Express.
Also, the history of the two teams’ recent meetings favours KCCA, who have won seven times in 12 matches between them. Express have only one win, and managed to hold KCCA four times.
That said, Express’ coach Wasswa Bbosa said in a pre-match press conference that his boys will be out to fight for maximum points and salvage their campaign to defend the league.
