The celebrated Ugandan comedian and businessman is said to have died of a heart attack at Stana Medical Centre in Bunamwaya in the wee hours of Wednesday morning.
He was first announced by events promoter, Andrew Mukasa aka Bajjo.
“Sad news,” posted the administrator of a Twitter account attributed to Lubwama, confirming his death.
According to the handle, Lubwama’s last public appearance was at the start of this week.
“Met these fans of mine, they are so into the Ugandan culture and content. Can’t wait to see them at the #CeaseFireTheatrePlay at Kampala Serena Hotel come the 29th of July. Don’t miss #KatembaMuSerena it will be #LubwaxSaySo,” he tweeted.
Lubwama served as a legislator in the 10th Parliament before he lost the seat to Mr Aloysius Mukasa in the 2021 general election.

Kato Lubwama born on 16, August 1970, completed his primary seven (PLE) in 1983, at Nabagereka Primary School.
In 1988, Lubwama sat for his Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE), at Old Kampala Secondary School.
1991-1992, Lubwama obtained his Special University Entry Examination, Certificate Other, at Makerere University Kampala.
1994, Lubwama obtained a Diploma in Music, Dance and Drama, at Makerere University Kampala.
