OMORO: As Ojok Andrew Oulanyah, the National Resistance Movement (NRM) flag bearer is in poll position to win the Omoro by election to replace his father the late Rt Hon Jacob Oulanyah former Speaker of Parilament, jubilations and celebrations are on going in Omoro.
So far, provincial results indicate that Ojok Andrew Oulanyah has about 1,301 votes.

The Omoro by-election has been filled with allegations of bribing voters. Opposition have accused security agencies of “openly” interfering in the Omoro parliamentary election through massive bribery and illegal arrests.
The father of the late former Speaker of Parliament, Nathan Okori blessed his grandson, Andrew Ojok Oulanyah ahead of the Omoro County by-election. “I am blessing you so that you become a Member of Parliament and serve your people like your father,” Mzee Okori said.
