Col Nakalema’s Anti-Corruption Unit Arrest Presidential Advisor Nakayenga Over Dubious Land Deals

KAMPALA:  State House Anti-Corruption Unit headed by Col Edith Nakalema assisted by Police has arrested Presidential Advisor for underprivileged youths Ms Resty Nakayenga over dubious land deals.

According to the Unit, the accused allegedly conspired with Mr Batenda James to defraud 7 Acres of land in Wakiso District.

The Unit further says that Nakayenga this Wednesday been arraigned before the Anti-Corruption Court presided over by Grade One Magistrate Sarah Namusobya and charged with Abuse of Office and Conspiracy to Defraud which she denied.

It’s alleged that Ms Nakayenga used her office to influence the Wakiso lands office to process a 7-acre title for Mr Batenda who only had one acre. The six acres belong to Charles Kiki.

Meanwhile, Court granted Ms Nakayenga a cash bail of UGX6million, same court issued criminal summons against Mr Batenda to appear in Court on 17th November 2021.
