KAMPALA: In a bid to unmask corruption and expose the corrupt, the State House Anti Corruption Unit in liaison with Uganda Police have arrested Sarah Mwebaze, a laboratory assistant and Daniel Ogwang, a Darkroom attendant of China-Uganda Friendship Naguru hospital.
The State House Anti Corruption Unit on Tuesday, June 28, 2022, tweeted revealing that the duo was arrested and charged with corruption after they solicited for a bribe to attend to a patient.
Also on June 25, the Anti Corruption Unit arrested three suspects for mismanagement of funds.
The Anti Corruption Unit identified the suspects as Angella Atim (District Educational Officer), Raymond Eyomu (Chief Financial Officer), and Ajoko Joseph Emukoko (Sector Accountant Education department).
These suspects were accused of mismanaging funds amounting to UGX72Million. The funds were meant for the procurement of seater desks for primary schools in Katakwi District Local Government.

Following these arrests and several more in the past, State House Anti Corruption Unit has vowed to wage a never ending war on corruption.
This has been accompanied by implored the public to report any corrupt officials.
“See something, say something. When we collectively speak up, there is nowhere for corruption to hide,” the State House Anti Corruption Unit encouraged.
