In the run up to World AIDS Day UNAIDS will launch a major new report ‘Let Communities Lead’ on 28 November 2023 in London, UK. The launch will feature representatives of the UK government, community leaders and AIDS activists as well as the Executive Director of UNAIDS Winnie Byanyima.
In the report, UNAIDS will reveal that the world can end AIDS as a public health threat by 2030, but only if communities are fully included and are sufficiently funded to lead the way. It will highlight how underfunding and harmful barriers are holding back their lifesaving work and obstructing the end of AIDS.
UNAIDS will be organizing multiple launches around the world and participating in World AIDS Day events across the globe.
