Blacks Power v Wakiso Giants
David Owori struck after 39 minutes to give SC Villa 1-0 victory over BUL FC in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League match played Tuesday, March 21 at the Aki-Bua memorial stadium in Arua.
With this victory, Villa got double joy as the Jogoos got sweet revenge against BUL who eliminated them from the Uganda Cup last week and also closed the gap on league leaders KCCA FC to one point.
Villa are now second on the 15-team log with 34 points from 18 games. KCCA remain top with 35 points from 16 matches.
The win over BUL also revives Villa’s hopes of winning the league title after a 20-year drought. Villa last won the league title in 2004.
Meanwhile, Maroons FC beat Arua Hill 2-0 on Tuesday to move from tenth to the fifth position, with 25 points from 18 games.
Action in the league continues on Wednesday (March 22) with Blacks Power hosting Wakiso Giants at the Aki-Bua memorial stadium in Arua.
