Regional League sides Kisugu United and Kiyinda Boys stormed the round-of-32 of the Stanbic Bank Uganda Cup after upsetting Uganda Premier League sides Maroons FC and Gaddafi FC in some of games played on Thursday, February 2.

Kiyinda Boys eliminated Gaddafi FC after a 1-0 victory at Ssaza grounds in Mityana while Kisugu United defeated Maroons 2-1 at Coffee playgrounds in Bugolobi.

However, Blacks Power FC, another topflight side in action on Thursday, advanced to the round-of-32 after beating win over Bukedea Central FC 1-0 at Emokori Grounds in Bukedea.

In another shocking victory, Gorilla Highland eliminated Big League side Kataka following a 2-0 win at Mashaka Playground in Kisoro.

Former Cup Winners Mbale Heroes will top the menu in Friday’s action when they host Araka FC at Mbale Municipal stadium.
