Holders BUL FC start their Stanbic Uganda Cup defense against lower division Sparks SC following the round-of-64 draw conducted on Tuesday, January 24.
Former winners Express FC, KCCA FC, SC Villa, Vipers SC and Mbale Heroes also drew lower division opponents. Express FC will play against Kajjansi United; KCCA FC play KJT FC while SC Villa take on Kireka United.
Vipers, the StarTimes Uganda Premier League defending champions, will launch their chase for a dream double against Bujumbura FC in the Uganda Cup tie. Mbale Heroes will be at home against Araka FC.
On paper, the former cup winners look to have earned easy draws but this knockout competition is devoid of shocks.
The round-of-64 games will be played between January 27 and February 3 at different venues around the country.
