RESULT: Uganda Cranes 1 Cameroon 1
Moses Waiswa scored a stunning equalizer for Uganda Cranes as they rallied from a goal down to hold Cameroon to a one-all draw in an international friendly match played Thursday, January 5 in Tunisia.
The game was the warm-up match for the Uganda Cranes, who are camping in Tunisia ahead of the African Nations Championship (CHAN) Finals slated for January 13 to February 11 in Algeria.
Cameroon took the lead through Kemajou Debami in the first half before Waiswa hit back for the Cranes from a free-kick in the 80th minute at the Chedly Zouiten stadium in Tunis.
In their first warm-up game played on Tuesday, January 3, The Cranes drew 2-2 with Sudan after Abdu Karim Watambala and Ibrahim Orit scored the goals at the at Jamel stadium in Monastic.
The Cranes will Mali in their final warm-up match on Sunday, January 8.
For the CHAN Finals, the Cranes are are pooled in Group B with the Democratic Republic of Congo, Senegal and Ivory Coast. They kick off their campaign against DR Congo on January 14.
