KCCA FC piled more misery on Express FC with a 3-0 humiliating defeat in the Uganda Premier League match played on Friday, December 9 at the Phillip Omondi stadium, Lugogo.
Goals from Moses Waiswa, Charles Lwanga and Congolese import Tshisungu Kankonde condemned Express FC to their fourth consecutive defeat in their recent league games.
Before Friday’s loss, the Red Eagles as Express FC are nicknamed, lost to Arua Hill (0-1), Wakiso Giants (2-3) and Bright Stars (0-2) consecutively. This is one of the worst runs for Express FC in recent seasons.
Express remain in the nineth position on the 16-team log and they face another uphill task against Vipers SC in their next match on Tuesday, December 13.
KCCA, meanwhile, leapt to the top of the table with 25 points from 11 matches after beating Express FC on Friday. KCCA are two points better than second-placed Vipers, the defending champions.
In the other game played on Friday, bottom side Busoga United defeated Wakiso Giants 3-2 at the Kabaka Kyabaggu stadium.
The league takes a one-day break and returns on Sunday, December 11 with matchday 13 round of games.
