Defending champions Vipers SC crashed 1-0 at Gaddafi Modern FC while SC Villa returned to winning ways by beating Maroons FC on Sunday, December 4 in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League.
Alex Kitata scored Gaddafi’s goal for the major upset at Kakindu stadium. In the other match, Patrick Kakande was SC Villa’s goal hero as the Jogoos picked up their maiden win at the neutral home ground in Lira.
Despite the loss, Vipers remain third on the 16-team table standings with 20 points from 10 games.
SC Villa moved to fifth place after this victory with 17 points from eleven games.
The league continues on Monday (December 5) with Busoga United hosting Bright Stars at the FUFA Technical Centre in Njeru.
