Kenyan rally driver Hamza Anwar (right) will compete in the FMU Sprint on December 26

Kenyan rally ace Hamza Anwar is set to debut his Ford Fiesta R5 car in the forthcoming Federation of Motorsport Clubs of Uganda (FMU) Boxing Day Sprint event.

Anwar, who is the reigning Junior African Champion, is one of the youngsters expected to thrill rally fans at the FMU sprint scheduled for December 26 at the Busiika Motorsports Arena.

He will be accompanied by his father, Asad Anwar, the former Kenya National Rally (KRC) champion.

Asad Anwar will also compete in the event.

Hamza Anwar is reported to have bought the monster Ford Fiesta R5 two months ago.

Local rally driver and entrepreneur Rajiv Ruparelia has played a key role in convincing the Anwars to participate in the FMU sprint.

Five months ago, Hamza Anwar made his debut in Uganda during the 2022 Pearl of Africa Uganda Rally. Although he did not finish the rally, Hamza Anwar thrilled Ugandan rally fans.
