SC Villa, smarting from a boardroom blow that cost them points and goals after their fans attacked match officials, redeemed themselves on the pitch by beating Arua Hill 1-0 on Saturday, November 19.
Charles Bbaale scored the solitary winner for Villa to get maximum points from the StarTimes Uganda Premier League game played at the Barifa stadium in Arua.
The victory is comes in a huge relief to Villa, who were penalized for acts of hooliganism by the FUFA Competitions Disciplinary Panel on Thursday, November 18. Villa were docked two points and two goals after the Jogoos fans were found guilty of pelting referees with objects during 0-1 loss to Wakiso Giants on November 9 at the Muteesa II stadium, Wankulukuku.
In the other match played on Saturday, KCCA FC and URA FC shared spoils after drawing 1-1 at the Phillip Omondi stadium, Lugogo.
Derrick Nsibambi gave URA a shortlived lead in the 65th minute before Julius Poloto equalized four minutes later.
The league takes a two-day break and resumes on Tuesday, November 22 with match-day nine games at different venues in the country.
