Veteran player Richard Wandyaka scored the sole goal of the game in 88th minute for BUL in a closely-contested game played at the FUFA Technical Centre, Njeru.
This means BUL FC remains on top of the table standings with 10 points after four games while SC Villa are second on seven points.
BUL FC’s next game will be against Gaddafi FC, who are still looking for their maiden win of the season. While SC Villa will host Busoga United in their next league game at Wankulukuku.
Meanwhile, the league continues Saturday, October 22 with defending champions Vipers SC taking on KCCA FC at the Phillip Omondi stadium, Lugogo.
Vipers, who are fresh from eliminating DR Congo giants TP Mazembe from the CAF Champions League, are yet to win a UPL game this season. They were held to a goalless draw by Bright Stars in their first, and only league game, so far.
KCCA, on the other hand, have lost once (1-3 to Arua Hill) and beat Wakiso Giants 3-2 in their previous games.
In the other game scheduled for Saturday, Arua Hill host Maroons at the Barifa stadium.
