Local motorsport ruling body, FMU, has rescheduled and switched the sixth round of the National Rally Championship (NRC) series from Kassanda district in central region to Kaliro in Busoga.
The Central Motor Club (CMC) organized rally was slated to take place early September in Kassanda district but it will now take in the first week of November in parts of Jinja, Iganga and Kaliro districts, according to a statement issued by the FMU secretariat on Monday night.
Top rally drivers such as Pionsiano Lwakataka, Ronald Ssebuguzi, Duncan ‘Kikankane’ Mubiru and Jas Mangat are expected to compete in the rescheduled CMC event.
Currently, Lwakataka leads the NRC title race with 332 points after five rounds.
