Uganda Cranes ended the Tri-Nations tournament in Libya on a losing note after going down to Tanzania 0-1 in the final game played on Saturday (September 24) night at the Benina Martyrs stadium in Benghazi.
Simon Msuva scored the only goal for Tanzania to beat the Uganda Cranes in a sweet revenge for the Taifa Stars, who were recently bundled out of the CHAN qualifiers by their East African neighbours.
The Cranes held hosts Libya to a goalless draw in their first match on Wednesday (September 21) in the three-nation invitational tournament.
Coach Milutin Micho Sredjovic will leave Benghazi with some positives to draw on as his Cranes side, a mixture of young players from the Kobs (U-23s) and senior players in the squad, put up commendable performance in both games against Libya and Tanzania.
