Dr. William Ruto was sworn in as Kenya’s fifth President at Kasarani International Stadium on Tuesday. Dozens of world leaders and diplomats were there for the ceremony. They included Yoweri Museveni of Uganda, Samia Suluhu of Tanzania, Paul Kagame of Rwanda, Abiy Mohammed of Ethiopia, and others.
The Judiciary, led by Chief Justice Martha Koome and Judiciary registrar Anne Amadi, oversaw the swearing-in process as Dr. Ruto took the Oath of Office.
Dr. Ruto was also named Chief of the Order of the Golden Heart, the highest honour conferred by the country.
Rigathi Gachagua was sworn in as his deputy shortly after.
