Early Risers Club Uganda, a platform that supports children between ages 8 and 18 to discover themselves and exploit their full potential, has organised a boot camp set to take place from August 23 to 26.
According to the organisers, the Club enables children to acquire skills and knowledge to facilitate them to choose a career that compliments their interests, talents and abilities. This is through career counselling, life skills training and mentorship.
“The ERCU boot camps are a time away from our daily schedules as early risers to learn, share experiences, network, have fun and enroll new membership. The 2022 boot camp comes after several COVID disruptions that ushered in the “new earth”, the organisers say.
The theme for the boot camp is “Reconnecting Again” and the boot camp is scheduled to take place at Rivonia Suites Mbuya and will be both physical and online.
According to the organisers, the Camp seeks to retool participants with career planning, life skills and admit new membership
The Bootcamp objectives are to instill creativity and independent thinking skills among early risers, to enable early risers leverage on exposure and freedom to enhance their life goals, and to enable early risers build a resourceful network for synergy.
Others are to expose early risers to current and future careers, engage and involve parents in our mentorship programme and to expose early risers to habits of excellence.
Activities will include career counselling, do it yourself sessions, science and tech challenges, emotional intelligence and mental health, imaginative writing and etiquettes classes.
