Kikankane is yet win any rally this year and has only collected 25points, and being the defending champion, he enters SMC rally with pressure on him.

Ssebuguzi has not collected any points so far this year and is still mastering his new Ford Fiesta that has only done the recent Fort Portal rally in Uganda.

Homeboy and former two-time NRC champion, Ponsiano Lwakataka, is expected to give stiff competition to the trio of Mangat, Ssebuguzi and Kikankane in the rally.

Currently, Lwakataka leads the NRC title race with 262 points followed by Umar Dauda and Jonas Kansiime at 178 and 141 points respectively.

The 151km SMC event has four sections including two runs of the Super Special stage of two kilometres each in Kako.
