Former Uganda league champions KCCA FC bolstered their efforts to regain glory next season by signing Congolese forward Tshisungu Kakonde from AS Dauphin Noir de Goma in Eastern Democratic Republic of Congo.
The 23-year-old was unveiled as KCCA’s latest recruit on Friday, July 22. Kakonda signed a two-year contract with the Lugogo based club, according to KCCA FC spokesman Moses Magero.
He becomes KCCA’s fifth player to be recruited through this ongoing transfer window following the earlier signing of Faisal Wabyoona, Moses Waiswa, Allan Enyou and Saidi Mayanja.
KCCA coach Morley Byekwaso has set a target of reclaiming the StarTimes Uganda Premier League title after losing it to Vipers SC last season.
