Former national boxing team captain and 2020 Olympian, Shadir Musa Bwogi, is ready to rumble in Saturday (July 23)’s professional contest at the MTN Indoor Arena, Lugogo.
Bwogi will fight Henry Kassujja in a six-round scheduled middleweight bout that headlines the special contest featuring ten other bouts on the under-card.
The contest, dubbed ‘Fire in the City’ is organized by Sembuya Magulu of 12 Rounds Sports Promotions.
Bwogi quit amateur boxing after the delayed 2020 Olympic Games in Japan last year. He will be out to get his second professional victory by defeating Kasujja.
“I don’t know much about him (Kasujja) but I know I’ll win,” Bwogi stated during a pre-fight media briefing on Thursday, July 21.
In the co-main event, David Ssemujju, another 2020 Olympian, will fight against Samali Ntambi in the super welterweight.
