David Mbalanga scored the only goal of the game as defending champions Uganda Christian University UCU), Mukono defeated Kumi University 1-0 on Saturday, May 21 in the Pepsi University Football League.
It was an end-to-end affair with lots of missed chances from both sides but Mbalanga’s goal in 53rd minute made all the difference securing a vital three points for UCU.
With this victory, UCU went top of Group A on goal difference. The Mukono-based University is level on seven points with Kumi but it has a superior three goal difference after three games played.
Action in the Pepsi University Football League continues Sunday, May 22 with Busitema University hosting Bugema University at the Rock View stadium in Busitema.
