Liverpool and Chelsea battle for the FA Cup on Saturday, May 14 at Wembley stadium in the highly-anticipated final that evokes memories of the Carabao Cup final two months ago.
The big match, which is the 141th FA Cup final of English football’s oldest and most prestigious knockout tournament, will kick off at 6:45pm Ugandan time.
It is a clash of German managers, with Jurgen Klopp on the Liverpool bench and Thomas Tuchel on the opposite Chelsea side.
In their last meeting at Wembley, Liverpool prevailed over Chelsea after penalties to lift the Carabao Cup in February. That bit of recent history makes it a revenge mission for Chelsea on Saturday.
On the other hand, Klopp’s Reds will be looking to add the second trophy of a possible quadruple; they have already won the Carabao Cup, and are in the UEFA Champions League final. They are also still in the reckoning for the Premier League title as they chase leaders Manchester City from the second place with three points off the pace.
Tuchel is looking for his first FA Cup trophy. In his first year at Stamford Bridge, Tuchel led Chelsea to the Champions League, Uefa Super Club and Fifa Club World Cup triumph but the Blues lost (0-1) to Leicester in the FA Cup final.
