Travis Mutyaba and Fred Gift scored the all-important goals as SC Villa rallied to a 2-1 victory over Arua Hill on Friday (May 13) to survive the relegation threat in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League.

The result moved Villa from eleventh position to tenth on the 16-team table standings, with 33 points from 29 games.

It was a joyous moment and big relief to the Villa officials and fans, who have endured a torrid season in which the Jogoos have stayed in the an unusual bottom-half-of-the table.

Villa’s last game will be against BUL FC on May 21 in Jinja.
