Kampala University (KU) edged Ndejje University 2-1 in an exciting Pepsi University Football League game played on Tuesday (April 19) at Kibuli sports ground.

After a barren first half, Bill Lakomakech gave hosts KU the lead in the 53rd minute but Daniel Kitara levelled the score for the visiting Ndejje in the 70th minute.

Then, Said Mayanja became the hero as he converted an injury-time penalty kick to give KU victory. Referee Lucky Kasalirwe pointed to the spot in the 90th minute after Gilbert Wanume was brought down in the penalty box.

Action continues on Thursday, April 21 when Bugema University host Islamic University In Uganda.
