KCCA 1 Vipers 2
Vipers SC beat KCCA FC 2-1 to inch closer to the StarTimes Uganda Premier League title on Saturday, April 16. It was a perfect Easter holiday gift from Vipers to their fans as the Venoms stretched their lead on top to an unassailable 12 points.
With six games left, Vipers only need six points (two wins) to seal the league title. They now have 58 points from 24 games compared to KCCA’s 46 points from the same number of matches.
Denis Iguma gave KCCA an early lead before Ceasar Manzoki and Milton Kalisa hit back for Vipers in the closely-contested game at the Phillip Omondi Stadium, Lugogo.
Vipers, who are already in the quarterfinals of the knockout Stanbic Uganda Cup tournament, have their eyes on a domestic league and Cup double triumph this season.
