SC Villa 0 Busoga United 1
SC Villa, the record 16-time Ugandan league champions, continued with their downward spiral in the topflight this season as they suffered defeat at the hands of Busoga United on Thursday, March 3.
Anwar Ntege’s first half lone goal was enough for Busoga United to snatch a win from the Joogos in an early kick-off game played at the FUFA Technical Centre in Njeru.
SC Villa last tested a win way back in December last year when they beat Tooro United at home and ever since then, the best they have done is to snatch draws.
The Jogoos’ fans are worried for the club that might be relegated to the FUFA big league next season.
Currently, Villa, who last won the league title in 2004, lie in the bottom of the 16-team table with a paltry 18 points from 19 gamed.
