KAMPALA: KCCA FC has swept the monthly Pilsner Lager Uganda Premier League (UPL) Coach and Player of the Month awards for October, 2021.
This is after KCCA FC coach Morley Byekwaso and his striker Davis Kasirye have named winners for coach and player accolades this morning at KatiKati restaurant in Kampala.
Byekwaso beat Vipers SC Brazilian coach Roberto Oliviera to the award. He has been rewarded for KCCA to a great start to the new 2021/2022 season. In October, Byekwaso guided KCCA FC to four wins in four games against Wakiso Giants (3-0), Gaddafi FC (2-1), Busoga United (1-0) and Tooro United (2-0).
Striker Kasirye edged Vipers’ Ceasar Manzoki and his teammate, Benjamin Ochan to the players’ gong.
Byekwaso and Kasirye have received a plaque and cash prize of Shs 1 million apiece.
