KAMPALA: Kenyan police said Tuesday that security has been enhanced and vigilance has been boosted across the country following the twin explosions that shook Uganda’s capital, Kampala.
To forestall any terror strikes, Kenyan police spokesperson Bruno Shioso said security officers have increased operations around the nation and along the country’s border with Uganda.
“At the Uganda-Kenya border, we are on high alert in case the perpetrators of the event try to leave here. We are also on high alert locally in case of a planned attack “In a short statement, Shioso stated.
He went on to say that various forms of security actions have been underway to counteract any terror danger.
Six people were murdered, including three suicide bombers, and 33 others were injured in twin bomb blasts in Uganda’s capital, Kampala, on Tuesday, according to authorities.
