MASAKA: Masaka High Court Judge Lawrence Tweyanziza on Monday, 25 October 2021 denied bail to opposition MPs Allan Ssewanyana and Muhammad Ssegirinya.
Justice Tweyanziza argued that the two MPs, who are charged with murder in connection with the killings in Greater Masaka area, are a flight risk and could jeopardise investigations.
The ruling comes despite the MPs saying that they need to be out of prison so that they get treatment after claiming that they were tortured by security agencies while in detention.
